something everyone should consider

i don't normally post song lyrics, but i was struck by this song. give it a read, think it over. let it ferment. a once-over won't give you the sobering realization that i arrived at.

I should have listened to her
So hard to keep control
We kept on eating but our
Bloated bellies still not full
She gave us all she had but
We went and took some more
Can't seem to shut her legs our
Mother nature is a whore
I got my propaganda
I got revisionism
I got my violence in high def ultra-realism
All a part of this great nation
I got my fist I got my plan I got survivalism
Hypnotic sound of sirens
Echoing through the street
The cocking of the rifles
The marching of the feet
You see your world on fire
Don't try to act surprised
We did just what you told us
Lost our faith along the way and found ourselves believing your lies
I got my propaganda
I got revisionism
I got my violence in high def ultra-realism
All a part of this great nation
I got my fist I got my plan I got survivalism
All bruised and broken bleeding
She asked to take my hand
I turned, just kept on walking
But you did the same thing to me so please now I'm sure you'll understand
I got my propaganda
I got revisionism
I got my violence in high def ultra-realism
All a part of this great nation
I got my fist I got my plan I got survivalism

someone finally verbalized the instinctual reaction of the average american. someone finally recognized that the average american won't try to ct for the greater good. the average american, when faced with a life-or-death crisis, will act on their own "survivalism" instincts. preservation of the self over the community, right? isn't that the capitalisitc way?
the time is coming when there WILL be a marxist revolution within the "leader of the free world," which has severely compromised freedom for security. as ben franklin stated, "he who is willing to sacrifice a little necessary freedom to obtain momentary safety deserves neither freedom nor safety." the gap between the elite and the proletariat is exponentially increasing, and with the new implications pertaining to the NCLB (no child left behind, for those who don't know what's going on... get a fucking clue or don't complain) act, SOMEONE will get behind the uneducated masses. SOMEONE will advocate revolution, VIOLENT revolution, and anyone remotely educated will be looked at as an enemy. history shows us that mob psychology is deadly. conspiracy theories will circulate, and purges of the educated will ensue. this CANNOT happen.
firstly, the humanitatian consequences will be horriffic. that goes without saying, so i won't get too deep in. economic and political consequences are just as deadly, metaphorically speaking. with america, the single largest economic consumer in revolutionary chaos, the world economy will take a massive hit. thrid-world countries that depend on the u.s. for economic support will collapse, and some sort of political revolution will rise there. as for countries that we depend on--namely china--their economies will boom. underground transactions will undermine any authority that the government will cling to, and these profiteering countries will further profit from the economic, social, and governmental chaos caused by a corrupt government and administration(s). once some sort of unstable order is found in the homeland, or is none is found, we will be economically, if not politically and socially, dominated by mainline economic suppliers. america will no longer be the superpower we were in decades past; currently, all our "power" amounts to is a shaky facade that crumbles under closer inspection.
it's not like anyone reads this blog. it's not like i have a snowball's chnce in hell of making it anywhere in politics. as much as i would love to change the world, i guess i'll have to settle for changing one person's life at a time. it's still a noble calling, but i still feel like i'm settling. ha, i once said, "the sound of settling is the sound of a soul dying." i suppose i should prepare for death :)
this is far from the end of my rant. i just really need to go to class.
peace and love.
try to spread them both.
